Support
for Small Businesses

Close, abundant housing is key to the success of small businesses

The success of small businesses involves two key factors — the ability to recruit and retain employees and a nearby, ample supply of customers.

Due to explosive growth in demand, and labor and supply cost increases, we cannot build housing fast enough to provide safe and quality housing units for the 80,000-90,000 people moving here every year and the roughly 550,000 small businesses in our state.

This is basic economics. The supply is low, and the demand is high, and getting worse. We need more housing. And we need it quickly.
